Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp (4 g) vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (120 g) sour cream
  • ½ tsp (2 g) salt
  • ½ tsp (2 g) baking soda
  • cup (200 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (180 g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9x5 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar for about 3-5 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Mix in the eggs, one by one. Once combined, stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream.
  • Add the salt, baking soda, and flour. Stir to combine.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350℉ for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown on top and a tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack and cooling completely. Enjoy!
