Sugar Sprinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup (160 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp (4 g) vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp (2 g) baking powder
  • ½ tsp (2 g) baking soda
  • ¼ tsp (~1 g) salt
  • cup (200 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup (50 g) sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together the softened butter and granulated sugar.
  • Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the flour and stir to combine.
  • Fold in the sprinkles.
  • Scoop the cookies onto a baking sheet in 2 tbsp measures. Lightly flatten each cookie with your hand.
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden and the centers are set. Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, gently bang the tray on the stovetop or countertop to deflate the cookies.
  • Allow to cool on a cooling rack and enjoy!
